oktoberfest... ja i was there

well i had 2 days left on my eurorail pass so i went to münchen (munich) for the weekend by myself. i took the night train and arived at 6:30 in the morning. i had no map and no clue where i was going. the tourist information desk didnt open until 9 so i just followed some people to oktoberfest. i walked around untill about 8 then found a place in one of the beer tents (not really a tent... more like a giant barn) there were about 4000 people in this place. at 9am they serve the first beer and by 10am everyone is blitzed.
